Dear Players,

Hope you are getting ready for a great holiday weekend.

Well I’m back on the road heading north after leaving Birmingham and playing 3 days at beautiful Rickwood Field. The Muckbaggers from Atlanta retained their title and now are 3 time champs. They beat a powerful New York Bison’s team 5 to 3 in the finals.

Except for yours truly pulling the plug on the afternoon games Saturday based on a horrific impending storm and playing in some rain, the storm didn’t materialize and Scotty boy caught some heat from some players. Deserved yes….but better to err on the side of caution. Next time I’ll just wait till it rains…..

I am heading north now to Cincinnati to drop off some equipment at the University of Cincinnati that is needed for the All Star Fantasy Camp. I am privileged to be working with MLB for the 6th straight year and this year I will have my brothers and nephew along with some great friends from the area to share the experience with.

Some of you have been following my art project on the side of my garage…The Green Monster and scoreboard. Well I picked up the final piece to the project yesterday in Campbellsville Ky. Met a really cool guy who is a picker and a singer songwriter…cool dude named Glen Yoder…the final piece is a pristine 3 by 3 light able Citgo sign that will go on the roof of the garage…It’s frickin awesome. So all you Facebook friends get ready for the final installment…might need to have a party…

Later today after dropping off the helmets and such in Cincy I will head to Toledo to drop off the trailer at Ned Skeldon Stadium in preparation for our Mud Hens Mania event in late July…can’t wait….might check out the Bulls/Mud hens game tonight.

Well I just fixed the trailer lights and the road is a calling……see some of you in Cincy, then Toledo….have a safe Holiday weekend….remember….light the firecracker…then throw the firecracker….be safe.

Happy Birthday to America!

Speak to you soon,
Greenie
