PALM BEACH CLASSIC
UPDATE/NEWS

Morning Men,
Don’t worry the schedule and rosters haven’t changed again……….Just a few quick points of interest, do’s and don’ts, directions etc.

Directions: From PBI Airport to hotels (embassy suites and Marriott) Follow signs at the airport for 95 North. 14 miles up to PGA BLVD. first exit at PGA is for the Marriott, can’t miss it, it is large and pink. Next PGA exit is for the Embassy Suites. Hotel on the left after you get off exit.

Hotels to Roger Dean: 95 North one exit to Donald Ross Road. Bear right; go to 2nd traffic lights make left. Drive past the new construction to the large open field. Park down in the corner near, NOT IN the Marlins parking lot. Walk through the large black gates behind left field stadium wall. Follow signs. There will be signs all over the place. Main thing, if you are pulling into a lot that has a large black fence and gate, DON’T park there!! You will be towed….open field or street only.

Roger Dean Locker RoomIf you are coming to the practice on Wednesday, bring your gear to stow for the weekend. Laundry service will not be available after the practice session. Shorts and t shirts are fine for practice. It begins at 11:30. Please don’t arrive before then. It ends at 3:30. You’ll have plenty of time to pull a muscle in those 4 hours.
As most of you know, this facility is Live. There are minor league players and major league rehabbing players. Please respect their space. If you are in the Cardinals clubhouse, you must enter from the door behind the outfield wall and proceed to the clubhouse down the hall. There is no reason for you to be wandering around the building. Do not use the glass doors that lead to the fields. Back door only!!

Let me know if you want tickets to the any of the 3 night games that weekend. The Hammerheads play the Port St. Lucie Mets on thurs and fri. and the PB Cards play Charlotte on Saturday. I will be asking 3 of you, if you want to throw out the first pitch before those games.

Pay attention to the white message boards in the clubhouse. They will have news updates, lost and found items etc.

Well that should be about it. A few of you have sent emails of great anticipation. We look very forward to it too. We know you are about to experience one of the best baseball vacations you’ve ever had. Remember, play nice!
See you Wednesday or Thursday.
Greenie
P.S. The weather looks great……………….
